Come join me in the kitchen and learn how to prepare and enjoy delicious holiday cuisine that will leave you feeling good too :-) All classes contain recipes that are gluten-free and vegan, unless otherwise noted, and are made using 100% whole foods. Culinary classes all have the option for students to be hands-on in the kitchen with the instructor.

Appetizers GaloreNovember 7th and December 15th Learn to make incredible dairy-free & gluten-free appetizers like cashew brie, sage oat crackers and veggie dip that are easy-to-make and are sure to impress!

Gluten-free 101*November 3rd and December 1st Learn why eating less gluten is beneficial to your health and easy ways to replace common glutinous staples like bread, pasta and cookies. *bread recipe does contain local cage-free eggs

Healthy and Delicious Cookies & CandyNovember 10th and December 8th Trying to eat healthy this holiday season and thinking that means you’ll need to steer clear of the sweets table? Well this class is for you! Learn how to make gluten-free sugar cookies and chocolate peanut butter cups; Both are free of all dairy, eggs and, gluten.

Holiday PiesNovember 14th and 21st Come learn how to make amazing pies without all the cream, butter and eggs. Join us and walk away with an amazing baked bosc pear pie and raw pecan pie. Both are gluten-free and vegan.

Hands-on Raw Food Culinary Program, Whole Foods Roosevelt Square In this hands-on program, you’ll be joining a group of students passionate about enhancing their mastery of raw food recipes, as well as their own health and well-being.  Immerse yourself in the art of raw food preparation while you learn over 30 raw food recipes spanning drinks, appetizers, salads, dressing, dips, pates, entrees and desserts – pizza?  pasta?  pie?  Nothing is off-limits in this class and you will be AMAZED at the results and how simple it really is to create delicious recipes that leave your body feel clean and energized!  Each class includes 3 hours of hands-on instruction and a 30 minute potluck where students get to enjoy the fruits of their labor, as well as share a raw food creation they prepared at home.

This program is an especially unique opportunity to engage in Thrive’s community, a group of people committed to creating and promoting health + vitality in their kitchens and beyond. We promise that upon completion of this program, you will have had an unprecedented experience of community, and a brand new culinary skill-set for creating foods designed to support a healthy, joyous + vibrant life.

At this Raw-tacular class learn how to make fun and inventive Halloween creations without any ghastly ingredients that all monsters, big or small, will love to devour! Recipes include Creepy Crawler Crackers with pumpkin-shaped cheese, Bloody Monster Finger Cookies, Caramel Pecan Taffy Apples, Pumpkin Pie Coconutty Smoothies and Dark + Spooky Raw Chocolate.

Come join Raw Food Chef + Holistic Health Counselor, Jamie Wagener, to learn tricks and recipes for using your Vitamix to make anything from desserts to dips, soups and beverages! Sample & learn how to create Thrive’s Chocolate Truffles, Nourish Smoothie and Onion Cashew Cream, as well as some of Jamie’s simply delicious staples like Creamy Red Pepper Dip, hemp milk and nourishing Fall soup!

Twist + Thrive Detox Workshop, Shefa Yoga Seattle As Fall approaches, often we find our energy dwindling and our appetite headed for more dense heavy foods. To set ourselves up right for the new season, join myself and yoga instructor, Jackie Elliot, for a twist-inspired yoga workshop followed by a sampling of delicious detox-worthy foods by Thrive and The Blissful Kitchen  that will keep you bright, light, energized and refreshed from head to toe!
